Europaeum of University Regensburg, Germany and Institute of German Studies (IDLF) of UBB Cluj-Napoca
What?
The Tandem program is organized for students from the two partner universities and comprises two stages: the visit and the return visit of the two groups of participants. The participants conduct an empiric research in the partner city, to subjects they choose. The students from Cluj research on topics on German culture. In this process they are helped by their respective tandem partner. After the visit, they write a report comprising the results of their research. Selected reports will be published in a Tandem Book, in cooperation with the University of Regensburg.
When?
Summer Semester 2024 – two stages:
✓ 1st stage: 10-17.03.2024: Visit and empiric research of the students form Regensburg in Cluj
✓ 2nd stage: 21.-28.05.2024: Return visit and empiric research of the students form Cluj in Regensburg
Requirements for participation
✓ Good English language skills, German language skills are an advantage, but not compulsory
✓ The participation at both stages of the program
Application
Interested students are asked to send a Curriculum Vitae, a short motivation statement and a suggested research subject (the last two in English or German) to Dr. Zenovia Cristiana Pop, program coordinator, at zenovia.pop@econ.ubbcluj.ro

Financing
✓ Traveling (by plane, Wizzair) and accommodation (in double rooms) costs of the participants from Cluj to/in Regensburg will be supported by the organizers
✓ Traveling and accommodation (Hotel Universitas) costs of the participants form Regensburg to/in Cluj will be supported by the organizers
✓ Participants will cover the cost of living themselves (food, travel and medical insurance, eventual visa costs for non-EU citizens, etc.)
